One of the hardest aspects of being a missionary is having to say good-bye to family and friends. Today I had to say good-bye to a good friend, my dog Chance. Now for those of you who are not dog lovers, you might not think that parting with a pet is that big of a deal. However, I do love dogs, and it was hard for me to give him up. I would have liked to take Chance with us to Costa Rica, but it would have been pretty expensive and unpractical. With us traveling so much with deputation, I figured that it would be best to go ahead and give him away now. Hopefully the people who took him will give him a good home.
