Well, since my brainy idea of a blogger's poll hasn't taken off, I guess that I will blog about a more popular subject: my mother-in-law. Maybe I will have to start giving a weekly mother-in-law update. Anyway, there has been an exciting new development in the apple pie saga (for those of you who don't know what I am talking about, read my earlier post on the subject). Last night, I finally got some forbidden apple pie. How? I out-and-out stole it! Thats right, while my mother-in-law was sitting in her living room holding Devin, I snuck into the kitchen and helped myself. It was really too easy. Boy, you should have heard the mutterings and threatenings. I was actually accused of not having a conscience (so far, my conscience hasn't bothered me at all). I must admit that the pie was pretty good. After the whole ordeal was over, she offered to bake me a whole apple pie for myself, if I would promise to never give her another wet willy. The problem is, if I give in this time, I have no guarantee that she won't turn right around and threaten me with something else. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if she really doesn't want me to give in because she likes all the publicity that she gets from my blog. Also, circumstances have been smiling on me. I actually got apple pie three different times from three different sources last week. I have also received a lot of moral support including offers of apple pie from Columbia, and a new unlikely alibi, my father-in-law. So, I guess I'll have to think about it a while longer.

Weekly Blogger's Poll
I got a brainstorm this week, so I'm going to try it and see how it goes. My idea is to start a weekly poll for bloggers. I'll try to come up with a new poll each week around Friday or Saturday. Feel free to post your thoughts; It should be interesting to see the different responses. This weeks poll: who do you think will win nomination for the Democrats, Republicans, and which of those two will become our next president? My prediction is Obama for the Democrats and Rudy for the Republicans, with Rudy winning.

Praise the Lord!
We finished our Spring revival this past Sunday with a real answer to prayer. Jeremy Fuller was our evangelist (he did a great job all week), and Sunday morning he preached an awesome message on God's grace. At the end of his sermon, both the parents of one of our bus kids went forward and they both prayed to get saved! What is so special about it is the fact that Katie, the mother, professed to be a Buddhist. Please pray for Duane and Katie as they start their new walk with God. They have a lot of issues to work through, but God is able to keep working miracles in their lives.

Escape Artist

Chance was very wet and muddy (it had just rained, and we have been having a lot of melting snow). Everyone knows what a wet dog does; yes, he thoroughly shook himself, spraying muddy water all over the back of the jeep. Then he decided to jump into the back seat, since nobody was there to stop him. To top it all off, he jumped into the front seat as soon as Missy got home. Needless to say, I was pretty frustrated with Chance that night as I tried to clean the jeep up. I still like him though.

California Brilliance
I heard a really good one on the news this week. Some city out in California is having a problem with an overpopulation of squirrels. Their solution: catch as many squirrels as they can, give them an injection to keep them from reproducing, and then turning them loose again. I'm thinking about moving out there so that my tax dollars can go toward this brilliant project.

World's Cutest Baby!!!
Well, I have absolutely no idea what I am doing, so I figure that I will start with something simple. Devin is really starting to be more alert. Everyone says that he is so cute. For some reason, they also say that he looks like his dad. Coincidence?
